The CA Foundation Course is the first stage in becoming a Chartered Accountant. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) holds the CA exams twice a year, in May and November.
A student who wants to become a CA can register for the ICAI Foundation course during or after class 12th based on the eligibility criteria. They must, however, complete their class 12th with at least a 50%.
Accounting, business laws, mathematics, and economics will now be covered in the CA Foundation syllabus. The entire ICAI CA Foundation syllabus is broken down into four papers:
Paper 1: Accounting Principles and Practice
Paper 2: Business Laws, Business Reporting, and Business Correspondence
Paper 3: Statistics, Logical Reasoning and Business Mathematics
Paper 4: Knowledge of business and commerce as well as economics in business
You will have four months to study for these four CA Foundation subjects.
In 2022, students must pay a total of Rs. 10900 for the CA Foundation course. This includes the registration fee of Rs. 9200, the exam form fee of Rs. 1500, and the optional Rs. 200 journal membership fee. It should be noted that the entire fee must be paid online.
