The CA Foundation Course is the first stage in becoming a Chartered Accountant. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) holds the CA exams twice a year, in May and November.

A student who wants to become a CA can register for the ICAI Foundation course during or after class 12th based on the eligibility criteria. They must, however, complete their class 12th with at least a 50%.

Accounting, business laws, mathematics, and economics will now be covered in the CA Foundation syllabus. The entire ICAI CA Foundation syllabus is broken down into four papers:

Paper 1: Accounting Principles and Practice

Paper 2: Business Laws, Business Reporting, and Business Correspondence

Paper 3: Statistics, Logical Reasoning and Business Mathematics

Paper 4: Knowledge of business and commerce as well as economics in business

You will have four months to study for these four CA Foundation subjects.

1. What is the CA Foundation exam?

A national exam for the CA Foundation is given in  May/June and November/December. Candidates who want to become Chartered Accountants in India enroll in it. Previously, it was known as the CA Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT).

The Chartered Accountancy profession in India is governed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), a statutory body founded on July 1, 1949. The ICAI is the second-largest Chartered Accountants professional organization in the world. Its main office is in New Delhi.

Our aim at GAPA is to mentor students as they speed through their preparation for the fast-paced CA and CPA exams. This will better position them for the lucrative finance industry and give them new career opportunities as financial managers and capital and securities specialists, among other positions.

8. What are the average CA foundation fees for coaching?

The cost of CA foundation courses in India varies depending on the CA Foundation coaching/institution.
